TALK: a self-portrait of the Artist/Fine Arts Librarian Megan Lotts
At 7pm on Tuesday November 3rd, 2009 I began recording myself. I continued recording every word and sound I made for an entire week while wearing an audio capturing device around my neck. I did not turn the device off until 7pm on Tuesday November 10th, 2009.
Throughout the recording I wore a small sign next to the audio device that read:
“Please be AWARE: I am currently working on an artist project called TALK and for one week I will be recording my own voice. If you have questions please feel free to email me at firstname.lastname@example.org”
This piece is presented in chronological order.
I would like to give special thanks to Brady Smith who helped me make this project and the gallery installation happen.
